Cous Cous Fest is coming back

The wait ends on 17 September, the scheduled start date of the Festival, which will run until 26 September 2021. Watchword: COUS COUS UNESCO HERITAGE

For several years now, San Vito Lo Capo has been coloured every September by a very important cultural event that marks a true moment of integration. The Cous Cous Fest is by now a fixed stage for our territory and its enhancement.

The next one can already be defined as a turning point edition marking the rebirth after the stop suffered last year due to the pandemic emergency. We want to come back stronger than before, confident that over the years we have brought great prestige to San Vito Lo Capo and to all the communities that have participated over the years. As well as an excellent opportunity to fully experience San Vito Lo Capo and all its special features.

The focus of the next event will also be on the recognition of Cous Cous as a Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage. A highly coveted value that mainly makes one reflect on the ability to have succeeded in breaking down all those geographical and social boundaries by building real bridges between peoples to bring them closer together. In fact, the imperative of the Cous Cous Fest since 1997 has been precisely this, the possibility of sharing a place and an ancient identity, such as that of this dish, by sharing their peculiarities together.

During the days of the event, there will certainly be no shortage of interesting moments. The entertainment at each past edition has always been taken care of in the best possible way, hosting successful artists and singers, and we will certainly remember the participation of Fabrizio Moro, Pino Daniele, Noemi, Mahmood, Boomdabash, Alvaro Soler, Ermal Meta and Francesco Gabbani, as well as many Sicilian artists who proudly participate in the Cous Cous Fest every year.
